Carlos Alcaraz brings back the moustache, and plenty of young men are doing the same

The story
Carlos Alcaraz lost in straight sets at the Shanghai Masters this week, but people were talking about his top lip almost as much as his tennis. The Spaniard showed up with a thin moustache.
It started as a deal with his team. They all agreed to grow one if he won the Japan Open, and he did, for the second year running. "I always wanted to step on the court at least once with the moustache," he said.
He is far from the only one. Jacob Elordi wore a thin strip of hair at Milan fashion week last month, Harry Styles has one during his long run of shows at Madison Square Garden, and Timothée Chalamet has been playing around with his facial hair too. Barbers in Sheffield and Birmingham say more young men are walking in and asking for a slim, tidy moustache.
This is not the big bushy Tom Selleck look from the 70s and 80s. It is closer to old Hollywood, think Clark Gable or David Niven. One barber says it is all about shape and precision, and the good news for anyone thinking about it is that it only needs a few quick snips to keep it in shape.
